Central Texas Archery Classes
Listed below are classes being offered at Central Texas Archery. Our archery range is located just northeast of Austin on Howard Lane. Archers can take more than one class per week. To register for a class, click on the link under the class heading. Registering for classes is not the same as becoming an annual member of Central Texas Archery. To become a member, please click here. Once class sign up is complete, an invoice will be sent to you via email within 48 hours. Please remit payment online prior to the class or in person at the first session. Archers who have not completed payment will not be allowed to participate in classes.
All classes are for archers ages 8 and older. Archers must be able to physically handle a bow and be safe while on the range. Instructors and coaches reserve the right to remove a student from class for safety reasons at any time.

New to Archery?
**START with a First Time Class**
First Time Class – Cost: $30
First time classes are for brand new archers looking to get into the sport. Archers new to archery must complete this class before enrolling in other classes. The focus is on safety and getting archers to the point that they can get to the shooting line and start enjoying archery quickly. Come and put some arrows on target and see what you think! Archers must be age 8 or older to participate. All equipment is provided. Class runs for 1.5 hours and instruction is provided by a USA Archery Certified Instructor. Recreational Classes
Beginner archery class for all bow types. 9 meters. 1 hour. This class focuses on the shooting form fundamentals using NTS, range safety, basic physical fitness, and developing the mental preparedness for competition. Click below to register online. Online registration is required. First time class is required for all new archers prior to enrolling in Level 1 classes. For experienced archers who are new to Central Texas Archery, please contact kat@centraltexasarchery.org to “test out” of the first time class and enroll directly to Recreational classes. New recreational class curriculum has been developed for the classes based on the brand new USA Archery Athlete Development Model.
Parents…unlike most sports, you can join the fun and take classes with your kid. You get the benefit of quality family time while living a healthy lifestyle!
Classes are for youth and adults and our small class size means you will get great instruction from our coaches, helping you to improve more quickly and have more fun!

Recreational Class Registration
Traditional Archery Classes
This class will be a hand’s on shooting class with an emphasis on the historical aspect of archery. You may bring your own traditional bow to class or use one of our house Crimean bows.
JOAD and Adult Archery Programs
JOAD stands for Junior Olympic Archer Development. In partnership with USA Archery, this program offers people the opportunity to become part of a national community of archers, earn awards, and participate in competitions throughout the local area, state and country. Para-Athlete Archery Classes
